Colorado Girl, 8, Praised for Life-Saving 911 Call for Dad
This Father’s Day is extra special for John Wailes, a Colorado dad who is grateful to be celebrating thanks to the quick thinking of his 8-year-old daughter, Adriana Wailes.
Earlier this month, Adriana sprang into action when her father, who has brain cancer, became unresponsive after a seizure. Calm and composed, she used Siri to call 911, giving dispatchers her address and vital details.
Thanks to her swift response, first responders arrived quickly, got John to the hospital, and he was treated and released the same day.
Adriana credits her mom for teaching her what to do in an emergency, a lesson that proved life-saving.
Dispatchers praised Adriana’s composure, saying her actions highlight just how critical it is to prepare children for emergencies.
