A former president of the Robert Burns World Federation has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing three teenage boys decades ago. The 70-year-old, who changed his name from Douglas Stuart Hammond to Marc Sherland after an earlier conviction for child sexual abuse, was exposed when more affected persons came forward with allegations dating back to the late 1980s.
