Cornelius M. Green, a former middle school principal in St. Louis, Missouri, was sentenced to two consecutive life terms for his involvement in a murder-for-hire plot that resulted in the deaths of schoolteacher Jocelyn Peters and her unborn child. Green pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire and murder-for-hire charges in federal court. He orchestrated the killings in 2016 by embezzling money from a school fundraiser to pay a friend $2,500 to carry out the murders.
