In Utica, New York, police shot and killed a 13-year-old suspect, Nyah Mway, during a foot chase on Friday. The incident occurred after officers responded to recent robberies where suspects, described as two Asian males with a black gun, had stolen property. Police encountered two juveniles matching the descriptions near the robbery site and attempted to interview them. Mway fled on foot and, during the pursuit, brandished a black replica handgun towards the officers. Officer Patrick Husnay, a six-year veteran, then fired his weapon, as seen in police-released body camera footage showing Mway holding the replica gun.
