Jamie Souders, 42, and Morgan Rothenhoefer, 24, a couple from Pennsylvania, have been charged with multiple felonies related to child sexual abuse. The charges include: One count of rape of a child, one count of aggravated indecent assault of a child, several counts of allowing a child to be recorded during sex.
The couple is accused of not only sexually abusing children but also filming the abuse. These charges are listed in an online court docket, indicating that formal legal proceedings have been initiated against Souders and Rothenhoefer.
According to multiple news sources, Jamie Souders and Morgan Rothenhoefer allegedly abused children as young as 8 years old. The couple reportedly took photos and videos of the abuse, which were later discovered by police. When questioned about a specific incident involving an 8-year-old child that was captured on video, both Souders and Rothenhoefer claimed they couldn’t remember all the details. The couple reportedly stated they were either drunk or under the influence of drugs at the time of the alleged incident.
It’s currently unknown whether Jamie Souders or Morgan Rothenhoefer have entered a plea in response to the charges against them. According to WHTM, Rothenhoefer was hired to work at a daycare facility in August after passing criminal background checks. The daycare stated that the allegations against Rothenhoefer occurred before her employment with them. Once the allegations came to light, Rothenhoefer was fired from her position at the daycare.
