Authorities in Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State have confirmed the deaths of four children and 28 infections in a new diphtheria outbreak across several communities. Mr. Tasiu Yahaya, the Information Officer, stated that the affected areas include Kwarkiya, Kuru, Kunya, and Minjibir. The Interim Management Officer, Muhammad Yakubu Kunya, has called for immediate intervention from authorities and stakeholders to safeguard community health. The district head also urged traditional rulers and scholars to educate the community and pray for relief from the outbreak.
