The unknown health effects of Kratom are prompting a debate among health officials in Ohio at both the state and local levels. Now, that debate is popping up in Michigan, which, like Ohio, has no regulations over what some health experts say can become an addictive ingredient. Parents of students at Dundee Community Schools received a letter detailing findings from a recent Substance Abuse Coalition meeting. It states that those at the Family Medical Center of Michigan are already seeing patients addicted to Kratom.
