The Department of Education (DepEd) aims to complete the delivery of new textbooks to schools by June 2025, with e-learning carts expected by July 2025, according to a new procurement timeline. Starting in October, all DepEd offices will conduct procurement activities earlier than previously planned, allowing for faster acquisition of essential educational materials and infrastructure. Education Secretary Sonny Angara announced that contracts for projects could be awarded as early as January, facilitating earlier delivery of goods. The priority projects for early procurement include ₱5.3 billion for textbooks, ₱4.3 billion for e-learning carts, and ₱2.1 billion for science and mathematics equipment, totaling at least ₱12.4 billion.
