Love Dooshima Raises Fresh Concerns Over Safety of Children’s Drinks

Love Dooshima, who previously raised concerns about the quality of a particular bread brand, has drawn fresh attention to the safety of products being consumed by children in Nigeria.
She made this known through her Instagram handle, @afroshima, where she shared concerns about certain brands and urged parents to exercise greater caution before giving packaged food and drinks to their children.
Her post prompted reactions from netizens, with one commenter calling on parents to avoid giving children drinks other than water unless they are certain about their source and ingredients.
The netizen wrote: “If you have your children on any kind of drink besides water that you’re sure of its source and components, it’s time to start taking them off every of such and stay with water alone.”
The comment also questioned the level of quality control in Nigeria, suggesting that gaps in monitoring could leave consumers exposed to products of uncertain quality.
Dooshima’s latest concerns have also sparked calls for manufacturers and brand owners to strengthen quality-control measures and ensure that counterfeit or substandard products do not enter the market.
The development highlights the need for parents to carefully examine products before giving them to children, while manufacturers and regulatory authorities face continued calls to strengthen food-safety monitoring and enforcement.
