On a quiet Thursday morning at Raines High School, Principal Vincent Hall was surprised with a celebration honoring him as Duval County Principal of the Year. The event took place in the gym, where students, staff, and faculty cheered and the band played music. Hall, who has led Raines since 2013 and has nearly 30 years of experience in the district, was initially misled into thinking he was going to evaluate an English teacher at another school. Instead, he was brought in to the gym for the surprise. Expressing his joy, Hall stated that being celebrated was a new experience for him, as he usually focuses on celebrating others.
