Jody Hall, 68, the founder and executive director of Adoptions International Inc., has been charged with two felonies related to the sale or purchase of a child. Hall was arrested on July 23, 2024, and released on a $50,000 bond the same day. She is accused of attempting to purchase unborn children from pregnant inmates at Tarrant County Jail through their communication system. Hall allegedly paid one inmate $846 and promised more money contingent on the boyfriend’s relinquishment of parental rights. She also offered another inmate $250, with additional payments planned. Hall’s communications included promises of support and financial assistance, aiming to facilitate adoptions through these transactions.
