Gov. Ned Lamont signs $40M special education funding bill

Gov. Ned Lamont (D-Conn.) signed a bill Friday investing $40 million in special education after a week of back-and-forth at the state capitol. The money comes as school districts enroll more children who need this support yearly. The signing was held at East Hartford Middle School Friday afternoon. Lamont was surrounded by educators and legislators like State Sen. Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox, who have been advocating for more funding.
