Hold onto your hats: Southwest Idaho could see wind gusts up to 70 mph this weekend

Prepare for significant weather changes in the next several days. Scattered rain and snow showers with graupel will diminish this evening across southwest Idaho as the current system moves out. However, a much stronger system quickly followed. This incoming storm will bring strong winds and heavy mountain snow. Harney and Malheur Counties could see gusts up to 70 mph and sustained winds to 45 mph, creating dangerous conditions for high-profile vehicles and increasing the risk of power outages.
