Five men from Yola town in Adamawa State have been remanded in prison custody for allegedly conspiring to rape a minor. The suspects – Ibrahim Aliyu, Muhammed Adamu, Gaddafi Adamu, Usman Umar, and Musa Isa – appeared before Chief Magistrate Alheri Ishaku at the Chief Magistrate Court I in Yola. According to the First Information Report presented by ASP Zakka Musa, the defendants conspired to rape the victim from Mafia Quarters. A DNA test revealed that Ibrahim Aliyu, who initiated the assault, was responsible for the victim’s pregnancy. The offenses violate Sections 60 and 211 of the Penal Code Laws. The court has ordered their detention pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions. The police have urged the public to report any witnessed unlawful acts.
