A junior-high principal was fired after he was caught pouring more coffee than he paid for

February 16 2024- The principal of a junior high school in Japan was dismissed from his job after being caught dispensing more coffee than he paid for at a convenience store. The 59-year-old principal had been pouring himself large coffees during lunch breaks, paying for the regular-sized option. He realized store staff didn’t notice the discrepancy until he was caught by a clerk in December. The principal admitted to pouring extra coffee seven times throughout the year. The Hyogo prefecture Board of Education dismissed him from his position following the incident.
