Bright Simon, a seven-year-old boy who had been missing for a month, was found in a church in Gwagwa, Abuja. He was reportedly taken by a woman who sought prayers for their journey to Imo State. The woman was initially taken to a vigilantes’ office and then handed over to the police after a disturbance caused by local youths. The boy’s father, Simon Akawu, was alerted by a neighbor and found his son at the church. The woman claimed she received the boy from a reverend sister in Maitama, Abuja, who said the child was an orphan. The FCT Police Command’s spokeswoman could not be reached for comment.
