A 4-year-old boy who went missing from a campground in Sierra National Forest, California, was found safe after nearly 24 hours alone in the woods. Christian Ramirez was located by a search-and-rescue team composed of volunteers and sheriff’s deputies. His family had searched for him for an hour before notifying authorities. Over 50 deputies and volunteers conducted an overnight search, locating him about a quarter mile from where he disappeared, near Huntington Lake. Christian was found hungry and tired but in good health. He was given a sandwich by the rescue team before being reunited with his family.
