The Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, has unveiled a new strategy aimed at advancing Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and improving the overall quality of education in Nigeria. He shared this vision during the Education Sector Renewal Initiative 2024-2027 consultative dialogue in Abuja, attended by representatives from organizations such as UNICEF, UNESCO, the World Bank, and the European Union. Alausa’s strategic goals focus on reducing out-of-school children, tackling learning poverty, and improving skills development to better align human capital with the labor market’s needs.
