This shift follows Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek’s announcement on Nov 26 that the ministry is moving away from exam-focused learning to reduce student stress, prioritizing enquiry, exploration, and holistic growth. However, Anuar noted that the current exam-oriented syllabus, last reviewed in 2017, doesn’t fully align with this new approach, highlighting the need for further adjustments to support a less exam-centric education system.
