Man Arrested after Allegedly Approaching Students on way Home from Ann Arbor School

A 24-year-old Ypsilanti resident was arrested in connection with incidents involving inappropriate engagement with students from Ann Arbor’s Tappan Middle School. Principal Tyese Parnell informed families about several reports from the previous week where a man attempted to interact with students walking home, either by approaching them near a Circle K or by following them in a car and trying to convince them to get in. One student provided a crucial license plate number, leading to the suspect’s arrest. The man was apprehended for a probation violation related to his involvement in one of these incidents.
