Prof. Edoba Omoregie has been appointed the 11th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, taking over from Prof. Lilian Salami. In his inaugural speech, Omoregie committed to transforming the university by creating a supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff. He plans to focus on innovative funding, improving access to education, advancing infrastructure, and enhancing staff welfare.
