Actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry “has been taking care of” the Turpin children, Oprah Winfrey said at a recent award show in Beverly Hills, People magazine reported. Some of the children had previously suffered abuse in a foster home after being rescued from horribly tortuous conditions in their parents’ home in Perris.
