A girl who was rescued after attempting to save a boy from an “ice-related drowning” in Albany, New York, last weekend has died from her injuries, police said. Albany Police announced the 11-year-old girl’s death on Tuesday night.
On Dec. 7, officers responded to a lake in Washington Park after receiving a report that two juveniles a girl and a boy fell through the ice. Authorities were able to recover the 11-year-old girl, and she was transported to a local hospital. The 12-year-old boy was not immediately located but later found dead.
