Dr. Matthew Adepoju, Director-General of NASRDA, emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive overhaul of Nigeria’s tertiary education curriculum to align with current technological advancements. He highlighted the significant gap between graduates’ skills and industry requirements, resulting in high unemployment rates among them. Adepoju stressed the importance of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics into all academic disciplines, citing the changing landscape of industry demands in the era of Industry 4.0. NASRDA plans to collaborate with stakeholders like the Nigerian Universities Commission to incorporate space science and technology across educational programs, aiming to enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness globally.
