University students in Nigeria have begun celebrating after receiving a N20,000 stipend from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. Beneficiaries from six universities, including Bayero University and the University of Ibadan, have shared their positive experiences on social media. Many used the funds for essential needs like food and relieving financial pressure on their families. The stipends, which started being disbursed on August 5, 2024, were provided to students whose school fees were already covered by the fund. The financial aid is seen as a significant support for students facing economic challenges.
