UNICEF has trained 330 school girls on menstrual hygiene management in 93 schools across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states. This initiative, disclosed by UNICEF WASH Manager Mamita Bora Thakkar during a briefing in Maiduguri for World Hygiene Day, also included the distribution of 94,000 dignity kits to girls and women in these Boko Haram-affected regions between 2023 and 2024. Thakkar emphasized the importance of menstrual health management for girls and women to help them focus on their ambitions and responsibilities.
