Michele Anyango and her sister, Pollet Achieng, who previously missed school to help their mother make and sell mandazi (a type of Swahili bread), are now happily attending classes at Mowlem Superloaf Primary School in Nairobi. Their return to school was made possible through a UNICEF-supported program. The initiative, led by Michael Cacich from the Education Above All Foundation, aims to provide quality primary education to marginalized children globally. In Kenya, this program, in collaboration with UNICEF and the National Council for Nomadic Education in Kenya (NACONEK), targets 250,000 out-of-school children, including those with disabilities, to ensure they receive education.
