A 27-year-old suspect was found hiding in a shack in Bloemfontein Phase 7 on 5 October. He is accused of targeting women aged 16 to 25 leaving a local tavern, with crimes dating back to 2015 and the latest in March this year. The victims were struck on the head with a blunt object and strangled during early morning attacks on Mondays or Saturdays in the Phase 4, 3, and 7 areas.
