March 2 2024- Wanda J’s Next Generation Restaurant, a local favorite in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is known for its homemade Southern comfort cuisine. Tyron Walker, Wanda’s son, currently manages the eatery, which his mother started in August 1974. The restaurant has a rich history, initially located off East Apache Street and North Peoria Avenue, known as the “Cowboy Corner” due to its popularity among local cowboys during Tulsa’s rodeo scene in the ’70s. Despite changing locations three times, the business has always remained in north Tulsa, a point emphasized by Wanda J. Walker.
