The accused has been identified as 38-year-old former elementary school teacher Alissa McCommon , who was initially arrested on September 8, 2023, and charged with rape of a child. At the time, the teacher was accused of grooming and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old male student, and now she is facing a 23-count indictment for sexual misconduct against nearly two dozen other potential minor victims, according to police.
