The construction of four new elementary schools in northwest Baltimore County has led the school district to revise attendance boundaries. A committee of school officials and parents met to discuss the rezoning, which affects nine existing elementary schools: Church Lane, Deer Park, Hernwood, Lyons Mill, New Town, Randallstown, Scotts Branch, Winand, and Woodholme. The district also plans to move early childhood programs from Campfield Early Learning Center to local elementary schools. The new boundaries will be implemented in the 2025-26 school year. Recent and upcoming school openings include new buildings for Bedford and Summit Park elementary schools, a new Deer Park Elementary opening next September, and a new Scotts Branch Elementary opening in September 2026.
