Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia is introducing a pilot program in the 2024-25 school year that will ban cell phones in seven middle schools to reduce classroom disruptions and enhance student engagement. Participating schools will provide students with magnetic Yondr pouches to store their phones during the school day, preventing use for social media, texts, and calls.
