Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) has launched the Moorhead Scholars program, a partnership with Moorhead Area Public Schools aimed at retaining high-performing local students. Starting with the Class of 2025, graduates of Moorhead High School with a GPA of 3.0 or higher will receive a four-year full-tuition guarantee at MSUM, funded through a combination of federal, state, and institutional aid. To qualify, students must graduate from Moorhead High School, maintain a minimum GPA, complete the FAFSA by May 1, and enroll full-time at MSUM. This initiative not only supports students academically but also aims to strengthen the Moorhead community by keeping local talent within it, as emphasized by MSUM President Dr. Tim Downs and local officials.
