March 5 2024- Families in Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) in Louisville, Kentucky, waiting to find out if buses will be cut for the next school year may not receive answers for several weeks. Some members of the Jefferson County Board of Education mentioned that they are awaiting a recommendation from the district before making a vote. JCPS Superintendent Marty Pollio indicated that a recommendation and vote on busing could likely occur at the March 26th Board meeting, providing families with more clarity in approximately four weeks from the announcement.
