British Infant, Aged Seven Months, Separated from Parents and Stranded in Algeria

A seven-month-old British baby named Adra is stranded in Algeria due to passport issues. Adra, who holds an Algerian passport, travelled with her mother to Algeria but needs a British passport to return home to Hull. Her father, Abdel Meslem, applied for her British passport four months ago, but it hasn’t arrived yet, causing distress for the family. Despite efforts to resolve the situation, including seeking emergency travel documents, they remain in limbo. The Home Office stated that passports are issued after completing necessary checks and denied any delay based on nationality.
