March 25 2024- Gunmen attacked a school in Nigeria’s northwest region, resulting in the abduction of approximately 287 students, with many children aged 12 or younger among the victims. The incident, the second mass abduction in less than a week in the country, has left families like Rashidat Hamza’s devastated. Hamza, with five of her six children taken, expressed despair and shock over the situation, highlighting the ongoing threat of Islamic extremists and armed groups in the area.
