Hi, Working Mom Here. Can I Please get Back to a Summer Without Camps to Juggle for my Kids?

In early March,  Molly Morser faced the stress of both tax payments and costly summer camps for her children, totaling about $350 per week per child, plus additional expenses for gear. With the rising cost of living, she relied on credit cards and lines of credit to manage these expenses. By July, with her husband away for work,  Molly Morse struggled to balance dropping off and picking up their children from various camps while maintaining work responsibilities. The demanding schedule and high costs made summer more stressful than relaxing, contrasting sharply with the  Molly Morse’s own carefree childhood summers. Although their children would prefer staying home,  Molly Morse sees camps as essential for providing meaningful activities and managing their own work and household responsibilities. They have to meticulously track camp schedules, gear, and their older daughter’s commitments.
