Matthew Farwell, a former officer with the Stoughton Police Department in Massachusetts, has been indicted for the murder of Sandra Birchmore, a pregnant 23-year-old. Birchmore, who had been sexually abused by Farwell since she was a 15-year-old volunteer, was found strangled in her Canton apartment in February 2021. Farwell allegedly staged the scene to look like a suicide. Birchmore was three months pregnant at the time and had recently informed Farwell that he might be the father.
