In an update, police in Greenwood Village told Cherry Creek School District the report by a student about a possible child abduction near Greenwood Elementary School was unsubstantiated Tuesday. Still, the investigation ended up impacting student pickup at West Middle School.
According to the Cherry Creek School District, “No child was abducted, and we do not have evidence that an attempted abduction occurred. The initial report was made by a Greenwood Elementary student who said they were approached near the school.”
