The Evansville Police Department says a mother has been arrested for leaving her child outside all day during a heat advisory with the heat index reaching 101 degrees. Officials say the child was seen outside playing since 7:00 a.m. this morning. A 911 call was placed once the child started screaming for their mother, 30-year-old Lissandra Denis, outside of their apartment door.
