Layla Gigger, a 5-year-old girl from Georgia, drowned at a pool party just weeks before her 6th birthday. At the party, Layla was left in the care of another mother while her own mother took her younger siblings home. She was found unresponsive, and despite attempts at CPR, she did not survive. Layla’s family has expressed their deep sorrow, highlighting her vibrant and loving nature. Her birthday would have been August 10, and she was looking forward to starting first grade.
