A 64-year-old school bus driver in Ashby is facing assault and battery charges for allegedly shoving a student to the floor of the bus. The driver, whose name hasn’t been disclosed by police, is set to appear in court at a later date. The incident, which occurred while students were being transported home, was captured on video. Although no injuries were reported, the driver will no longer be employed by the North Middlesex Regional School District. The district plans to notify the Department of Children and Families about the incident.
