On Monday morning, a school bus carrying 10 students from Aquinas Institute was struck by a bullet while traveling along Route 104, according to the East Irondequoit Central School District. Both the district and Aquinas Institute confirmed that no students were injured. The incident caused two windows on the bus to shatter. While the school reported the bus was hit by a bullet, New York State Police described it as a projectile. In response, school officials from Aquinas Institute assured families that all students on the bus had met with counselors and that the school would continue to support students’ safety and well-being.
