Anne Shaw Heinrich, a journalist, columnist, blogger, and nonprofit communications professional with over 35 years of experience, is set to release her debut novel, “God Bless the Child,” in June. Heinrich reflects on her childhood, where she and her brothers were surrounded by books due to their mother’s love for fiction and their father’s preference for news and nonfiction. She recalls a magical moment of storytelling with her father, listening to Sergei Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf” on a record player, which ignited her passion for narratives. In high school, Heinrich discovered the profound impact of storytelling thanks to two remarkable teachers, Constance Moore and Jane Reed.. Both teachers encouraged and supported Heinrich’s writing, instilling in her a belief in her ability to craft stories. Heinrich credits Moore and Reed for influencing not only her writing career but also the lives of countless students. She expresses her deep gratitude to these “dream weavers” by dedicating her debut novel to them.
