“I believed it was an airplane descending: School bus collides with residence in Upstate.”

In Travelers Rest, South Carolina, a Greenville County Schools bus crashed into a home, resulting in property damage but no injuries. The bus, carrying two students, veered off the road, hit a mailbox and fence, then collided with the unoccupied mobile home. The homeowner, Kathleen Crosby, described hearing the crash and initially mistaking it for a plane. The destroyed home held sentimental value, as it was a retreat for Crosby and held memories of her mother and grandmother. Despite the loss, Crosby is thankful that nobody was harmed. The bus driver is facing charges for driving too fast for conditions, but their name has not been disclosed.
