The Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, asked the police and a judge to stop the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, from marrying 100 orphaned girls. The Speaker wanted to marry off these girls who lost their parents in attacks, but the Minister is trying to prevent it.
