The Lagos State Police Command has dismantled a child trafficking ring, rescuing a two-month-old baby and arresting five individuals involved. The operation followed a report from the baby’s mother. The investigation led to the arrest of Gloria Sunday, who confessed to selling the baby for ₦500,000 to Pastor Peter Udoh. Pastor Udoh, arrested in Ogun State, admitted to reselling the child for ₦1,450,000 to Loretta Nelson, who was also detained. The final buyers, Mr. and Mrs. James Uwam, were arrested at a naming ceremony for the child. All suspects are in police custody and will face court proceedings once the investigation is complete.
