A Texas second grader died Friday following a “tragic accident” at a school drop-off area, police said.
According to the Borger Police Department, first responders were called to Gateway Elementary around 8 a.m. after a student’s coat got caught in a car door as they got out of the vehicle.
A senior school official tried to help, but “the incident happened so quickly that it could not be stopped,” police said.
