A teacher from Cy-Fair ISD, identified as Kayden Burbank, resigned after accusations of an inappropriate relationship with a student at Cy-Fair High School. Burbank was placed on leave on April 2 following allegations and subsequently resigned on April 9. He faces felony charges and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Court documents reveal Burbank allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student starting in February, often meeting in his classroom or leaving campus together to go to a nearby hotel. The relationship came to light when Burbank’s girlfriend discovered text messages between him and the student on his phone. Burbank is currently held on a $60,000 bond.
