Millennial women are facing the first decline in well-being since the Silent Generation, report says

February 2 2024- A new report suggests that women’s well-being in the United States may not be improving, and in some areas, it has declined. The Population Reference Bureau created an index of women’s well-being, focusing on factors like poverty, education, incarceration, political representation, health, and labor force participation. The study compared the well-being of different generations of U.S. women at the same life stage (around ages 25 to 34). The findings indicate that millennials are the first generation of women since the Silent Generation to experience declines in overall well-being, challenging the notion of progress for women in recent years.
